In which versions is the KNIPEX StepCut XL available?
It is available in three versions:
95 11 225 - with plastic coating
95 12 225 - with new Comfort Handles
95 18 225 - insulated with multi-component handles, VDE-tested
What is the maximum cutting capacity of the KNIPEX StepCut XL?
The KNIPEX StepCut XL cuts solid copper or aluminium cables up to 35 mm², stranded cables up to 70 mm² and fine stranded cables up to 120 mm².
What is the ‘tooth’ in the jaw of the KNIPEX StepCut XL for?
The ‘tooth’ is the holding mandrel which, together with the stepped cutting edge, prevents cables from slipping out during the cutting process. The front cutting edge is also used to gradually cut (‘nibble’) very large cables.

In which versions is the stripping knife available?
The stripping knife is only available in one version, in which the housing is made of glass fibre reinforced plastic and soft plastic.

Are spare parts available for the stripping knife?
Yes, there are. Both a replacement blade (16 50 145 E01) and a replacement safety lock (16 50 145 E02) are available.
Is it possible to fit a fall protection device?
Yes, the stripping knife has an eyelet at the end of the handle for attaching a fall protection device, such as the one in our KNIPEX TetheredTools system.
Which cable sheaths is the stripping knife suitable for?
The stripping knife is suitable for many cable sheaths, it also cuts very hard or tough plastic sheaths up to 7 mm wall thickness.

Can the KNIPEX TubiX® S be used with one hand?
Yes, thanks to the QuickLock one-hand quick fastening, you only need one hand to attach the pipe cutter. Simply slide it onto the pipe or preset it using the scale and clip it onto the pipe. The spring-loaded cutting wheel ensures that the pipe cutter holds reliably on the workpiece.
What is the cutting capacity of the KNIPEX TubiX® S?
The KNIPEX TubiX® S cuts INOX and copper pipes with Ø 3 - 30 mm (1/8 - 1 1/8"), with wall thicknesses up to 2 mm.
How large is the cutting circle of the KNIPEX TubiX® S?
The KNIPEX TubiX® S has a particularly small cutting circle of 39.5 mm*, which makes it ideal for use in confined spaces, e.g. in enclosed spaces like .

Are spare parts available for the KNIPEX TubiX® S?
Yes, spare parts are available. There is a cutting wheel for INOX and Cu with spare quick-change axle (90 39 02 V01) as well as 5 x cutting wheel for INOX and Cu (90 39 02 V03). In addition, the TubiX S is already equipped with a replacement cutting wheel in the rotary knob, which can be changed easily and without additional tools.
