What are the cutting capacities of the Slim Knips?

How does the new KNIPEX Slim Knips differ from the well-known Electronic Super Knips® (78 XX 125)?

The Slim Knips (precision cutting pliers) differs from the Electronic Super Knips® in several respects. The Slim Knips has been specially developed for applications where particularly good accessibility is required, e.g. in deep, confined spaces. Thanks to its very slim design, it can reach even hard-to-access areas. Another striking feature is the unusual, long and narrow handle of the Slim Knips. This handle design complements the slim profile and facilitates precise work in confined spaces.

Another difference is the larger opening width of the cutting edges. This makes the Slim Knips suitable not only for fine wires, but also for shortening, removing or tightening cable ties. Like the Electronic Super Knips®, the Slim Knips also features an opening spring that makes opening the pliers particularly easy and even allows you to work using just your fingertips.

In addition, the Slim Knips features an integrated transport lock that keeps the pliers closed during transport, as well as an integrated eyelet for attaching a tool safety device such as KNIPEX Tethered Tools tethers.

The Electronic Super Knips®, on the other hand, remains the classic electronics pliers for particularly precise cutting work in electronics and fine mechanics. The Slim Knips expands the range of applications, primarily through better accessibility in confined spaces, the larger opening width and additional features for mobile use.

Are there any accessories for the KNIPEX Slim Knips®?

Yes, there is a tool holster (item no. 78 09 LE) available individually or as part of a set with the Slim Knips. The holster is also suitable for Electronic Super Knips® with the following item numbers:

What are the cutting capacities of the KNIPEX STX60 stripping tool?

The tool is designed for stripping hard and tough cable sheaths with a diameter of Ø 30-60 mm. The maximum wall thickness is 6.5 mm.

Is there a transport lock?

Yes, the blade of the STX60 is fully retractable. You are only protected during transport and storage of the tool when the blade is fully retracted.

What applications is the KNIPEX STX60 stripping tool suitable for?

The stripping tool is highly versatile, particularly in areas where large and robust cables are handled. Typical applications include industrial plants, PV and wind power plants, shipbuilding, and mobile power supply solutions. Both circular and longitudinal cuts can be made with the STX60. To facilitate longitudinal cutting, the STX60 features an integrated, fold-out pulling aid. For an even more effort-saving option, a mechanical ratchet can also be fitted. The ratchet is not included in the scope of delivery.

Are spare parts available for the STX60?

Yes, a set of 4 spare blades is available (item no. 16 45 220 E01). In addition, every STX60 comes with 2 spare blades, which are housed in the rotary knob and are always within easy reach for uninterrupted work.

What functions does the KNIPEX PreciForce® SAC have?

The KNIPEX PreciForce® SAC is your 3-in-1 set of pliers for processing conductors for MC4® and MC4® Evo 2 PV plug type connectors. It can cut, strip and crimp – all in one without changing tools.

Is the crimping die replaceable?

No, the crimping die is permanently fitted and cannot be replaced. If you require crimping pliers with a replaceable die, we recommend:
