KNIPEX TubiX® S Pipe Cutter

The popular KNIPEX TubiX® pipe cutter is now also available in an ‘S’ version for pipes with a diameter of 3 to 30 millimetres. The pocket-sized tool is equipped with the QuickLock one-hand quick fastening system and even cuts stainless steel. Small but mighty, the TubiX® S is optimised for all installation work in the tightest of spaces.

The new KNIPEX TubiX® S pipe cutter (90 31 01) can be used wherever space is tight. Every detail of the new cutting tool has been optimised for cutting pipes in the tightest of spaces and for operation with one hand. Thanks to the QuickLock mechanism operated with just one hand, the practical tool holds itself securely and independently on the pipe. This smallest version of the TubiX® cuts copper and INOX pipes with a wall thickness of up to 2 millimetres from a diameter of 3 and up to 30 millimetres.

As with the larger KNIPEX TubiX® models, it is precise, easy and convenient to use: simply place the open tool on the pipe to be cut and use the QuickLock one-hand quick-fixing system to position it precisely on the pipe or simply preset the pipe diameter using the scale and clip it on firmly. This ensures that the pipe cutter remains reliably on the pipe regardless of manual force. This is particularly advantageous when working at height or in shafts.

The pipe is then cut by rotating the tool. Five high-quality needle bearings on the cutting wheel and guide rollers ensure a comfortable and fatigue-free cut. The cutting circle of the TubiX® S has been significantly minimised compared to conventional pipe cutters, so that precise work can be carried out even in the tightest of spaces. The rotary knob with structured thumb recess offers 20 per cent better power transmission and reliably prevents slipping, even in wet conditions. The cutting wheel, made from high-quality ball bearing steel, is easy to replace and is already housed in the rotary knob. This guarantees that work can continue at any time.
