Climate protection with measurable results
Since 2020, KNIPEX has reduced its greenhouse gas emissions by almost 40 per cent. Climate protection is one of our core sustainability goals. Each year, we report on our progress and measures towards climate neutrality in our Sustainability Report.
The Product Carbon Footprint as a decision-making tool
The Product Carbon Footprint (PCF) shows how much CO₂ is generated during the production of a pair of pliers.
KNIPEX calculates the PCF using the “cradle-to-gate” approach – from raw material extraction to the point the tool leaves the factory.
This allows customers to take sustainability into account when making purchasing decisions and consciously choose products with a lower environmental impact.
Green steel for resource-efficient products
Steel plays a key role in the circular economy: it can be recycled infinitely without any loss of quality.
From 2025, KNIPEX will switch to low-emission, recycled green steel, offering:
